Ethiopia is home to a large portion of the Rift Valley which forms the Danakil Depression on the north of the country and then a chain of fantastic lakes that provide the ideal habitat for an exuberant variety of flora and fauna. After crossing the Rift Valley, the South Omo Valley will surprise you with stunning landscape and cultural diversity of more than a dozen tribes sharing the same limited space.
Up on arrival meet your guide and transfer to your reserved hotel. Then start city tour in Addis Ababa, by visiting National Museum, Mercato, St Geoge church and Mount Entoto.
After breakfast drive to Awash National Park. On the way visit Kereyu people village. Late afternoon Game drive in Awash National Park. It is the spot for different species and endemic Birds.
Game walk at Awash national park and meet some mammals like antelopes (Orix), Dick-Dick, and Crocodile at Awash water falls. Then proceed to Langano and visit Abiyyata – Shalla national parks.
Early in the morning drive to Ziway and meet some endemic and different species Birds. It is the best place to spot Hundreds of Bird species. Late afternoon drive back to Langano.
After breakfast drive to Bale mountain national park thorough the southeast part of the capital, where fertile land is cultivated by the Oromo people. Walk in Dinsho park and meet the Spot-breasted lapwing, Abyssinian long claw, Wattled ibis, Black-headed siskin, Rouget’s rail, and other species
Excursion to Harena Forest and trek to the third highest mountain in Ethiopia Tullu Deemtu (4377m, 14357ft) which is part of the Sanetti Plateau. Here you will find small alpine lakes and typical afro-alpine vegetation that includes the Giant Lobelia and shrubs such as ‘Everlasting’.
After breakfast drive to Negele Borena on the way meet some Endemic and different species Birds. Ethiopia is home of 862 species Birds where us 17 of them are endemic.
Early breakfast then drive to Yabello and visit Yabello Wildlife Sanctuary. Here you’ll meet some Bird species like, Secretary Bird, Abyssinian Grosbeak Canary, Grey-headed Silverbill, Taita Fiscal, Somali Golden- breasted Bunting and other.
After breakfast drive to Hawassa. On the way visit Tutifela Stelea Fields and Yirga Chefe coffee plantation.
Visit the very famous Fish Market of Awassa where the fishes are sold and cooked in a very traditional way. Drive to Addis Ababa via Shashemene, which is home for the Jamaican Rastas who are coming back to Africa in order to search for their roots. Farewell dinner at traditional restaurant with folklorist dance. Then transfer out to Bole international Airport for your international flight.
