Ethiopian Holidays are glamorous taking you through the exotic destinations of Ethiopia, package travel from one end to another, the historical route of Northern Classical sightseeing’s, located on the great High land of Ethiopia with its stunning Landscape. The Simien Mountains of Ethiopia also called as the Green Grand Canyon, is trekkers Paradise. It is the best Trekking experience in Africa. In this trek you will enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Simien Mountains, you’ll meet the endemic wild animals like Gelada Baboon, Ethiopian wolves, Walia Ibex and many endemic birds of Ethiopia.
Up on arrival meet your guide and transfer to your reserved hotel. Then start city tour in Addis Ababa, by visiting National Museum, Mercato, St Geoge cathedral church and Mount Entoto.
Fly to Bahir Dar. After lunch you’ll have boat ride on Lake Tana to visit Ura Kidane Mihret monastery which is dating back to 14th century.
Take excursion tour to the most spectacular water falls in Africa, the Blue Nile Falls, drive to Gondar and you will be guest at one of Ethiopian Family for cooking class.
Visit the 17th C castles and palaces of Gondar. Finally, you will visit the fantastically decorated church of Debrebirhan Selasse, and Bath of Emperor Fasiledes. Then drive to Simien Mountain and start trekking to Sankaber.
After we arrange all the trekking staff including mules and Muleteers for packing and transport of camping gears and all foodstuffs, we’ll trek to Geech, which will take 7 hours. On the way you will admire the deepest water fall in Ethiopia Jinbar water fall.
This day we will be waking to the best viewpoints in the National park to Imetgogo(3600m absl) and Enatye escarpments (4000m. above sea level). Finally, we descend to Chenek. Chenek is the best place to see the endemic Waliya Ibex and more Gelada Baboon. The hiking will be about for 9 hours.
After breakfast we’ll walk to Ambiquo climbing Buhawit (4430m) Mountain the 2nd highest peak next to RasDashen in Semien Mountain ranges, giving excellent views over the whole area.
Very early morning start walking toward mount Ras-Dashen, which is the fourth highest peak in Africa (14901ft/4543m). After taking in the impressive views descend back to Ambiquo for an overnight.
Walk from Ambiquo to Sona through the magnificent landscape. On the way you will see mount WaliKend and mount silky in a distance view. The hiking will take 9 hours.
After breakfast we will walk for 2 hours and we cross a river. After taking shower and relax in the river we proceed to Mekarebia for overnight.
Walk from Mekarebiya to Mulit through the magnificent landscape. The hiking takes eight hours.
After breakfast trek to Aderkay and meet the vehicles to drive to Axum. Then visit the stele or obelisks of Axum, the largest single piece of stone standing anywhere in the world, castles of former monarchs, Mariam Tsion church, built on the site of Ethiopia’s first church and a palace of Queen Sheba, King Ezana’s inscriptions and tomb of King Kaleb and Gabremeskel.
Fly to lalibela and Visit the Rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, which is divided in to two clusters Northwestern and Southeastern Cluster. Finally, you will visit the most famous of all the churches – Bete Giyorgis (which is considered as the eighth wonder of the world).
Fly back to Addis Ababa. Farewell dinner at traditional restaurant with folklorist dance. Then transfer out to Bole international Airport for your international flight.
