Ethiopia is home to a large portion of the Rift Valley which forms the Danakil Depression on the north of the country and then a chain of fantastic lakes that provide the ideal habitat for an exuberant variety of flora and fauna. After crossing the Rift Valley, the South Omo Valley will surprise you with stunning landscape and cultural diversity of more than a dozen tribes sharing the same limited space.
Up on arrival meet your guide and transfer to your reserved hotel. Then start city tour in Addis Ababa, by visiting National Museum, Mercato, Holy trinity cathedral church and Mount Entoto.
Fly to Jinka and visit Ari Village. Ari villages have neat compounds, fertile and scenic land with coffee plantations. Ari have large livestock herds and produce large quantities of honey.
Take excursion tour to Mago National park and visit Mursi village. After lunch drive to Turmi, on the way visit Karo tribes and their unique body painting.
After breakfast drive to omorate and visit Dasanach tribes. Then drive to konso. The Konso are a rich agrarian culture. They construct ingenious terraces and walls that encircle their fields and villages for protection against livestock damage and flooding.
Drive to Arbaminch, Boat ride over Lake Chamo and visit Crocodiles and Hippos. You’ll be guest at one of Ethiopian family for cooking class.
Drive to Dorze village. The Dorze people are famous for their beehive-shaped bamboo houses and products produced from the Enset plant (False Banana Tree). Then drive back to Addis Abeba. Farewell dinner at traditional restaurant with folklorist dance. Then transfer out to Bole international Airport for your international flight.
