Ethiopia is home to a large portion of the Rift Valley which forms the Danakil Depression on the north of the country and then a chain of fantastic lakes that provide the ideal habitat for an exuberant variety of flora and fauna. After crossing the Rift Valley, the South Omo Valley will surprise you with stunning landscape and cultural diversity of more than a dozen tribes sharing the same limited space.
Up on arrival meet your guide and transfer to your reserved hotel. Then start city tour in Addis Ababa, by visiting National Museum, Mercato, Holy trinity cathedral church and Mount Entoto.
Fly to Arbaminch, then drive to chencha and visit Dorze village. The Dorze people are famous for their beehive-shaped bamboo houses and products produced from the Enset plant (False Banana Tree).
Boat trip on Lake Chamo and meet Crocodiles and Hippos. Then drive to Turmi to visit Hammar Village.
Excursion to Korcho. Visit Karo tribes and their unique body painting. Afternoon visit the colorful weekly market at Key Afer or Dimeka.
Take an Excurtion tour to Omorate, to visit Dasenech tribes. Then drive to jinka and visit Ari village. Ari villages have neat compounds, fertile and scenic land with coffee plantations.
Take excursion tour to Mago National park and visit Mursi village. Afternoon drive to Konso. The Konso are a rich agrarian culture. They construct ingenious terraces and walls that encircle their fields and villages for protection against livestock damage and flooding.
Drive to Yabello and visit Saline Creator Lake which is known as Chew Bet (salt house) where the locals extract salt in a very traditional manner.
After breakfast drive to Awassa, on the way visit Yirgachefe Coffee plantation and the Sidama village.
Visit Fish Market at Awassa Lake, then drive to Goba. Game walk at Dinsho National Park and meet some endemic mammals and Birds.
Excursion to the mystical Harena Forest and the Senatti Plateau. Trek to the second highest mountain in Ethiopia, Tulu Dimtu (4377m).
Drive to langano and relax with a very nice sunset at the Resort, secluded in a natural paradise at shore of lake Langano.
After breakfast drive back to Addis Ababa. Farewell dinner at traditional restaurant with folklorist dance. Then transfer out to Bole international Airport for your international flight.
